A little more than 300 different species make a stop on the Balearic Islands every year before they continue their journey. The Balearic Islands archipelago is located on the route of Western European migratory birds and is thus the best point to observe birds.

Mountains, sea, wetlands or salt marshes form a rich biotope for birds like peregrine falcons, the popular voltor negre (black vulture), goose vulture, chaffinch, storks or Balearic storm dwellers

Mallorca has privileged sots for bird watching, such as the s'Albufera Natural Park (Alcúdia), the Mondragó Natural Park, the Serra de Tramuntana Mountains, the Camí des Cingles Park (Sóller) or La Gola (Pollença).

Menorca has areas like s'Albufera of the Gray Natural Park, the Morella lagoon, Favàritx or Salinas de Addaia; they are all privileged places for bird watching,

As for Formentera, the Estany des Peix and the Estany Pudent are obligatory visits. There are two wetlands in the Ses Salines de Ibiza and Formentera Natural Park. Ibiza, the largest of the Pitiüsas Island, is also in no way inferior. Next to this strategic point you should also visit the Cap des Falcó or Es Amunts.
