The Finca Planícia stretches over a good part of the northeastern part of the Mola de Planícia, which rises up to an altitude of 941 meters. It is located in the coastal municipality of Banyalbufar. There is a dense oak forest on the finca, which still has the characteristic elements of rural life in a mountainous region, such as charcoal kilns, the sheds of charcoal burners and lime kilns.
There are three trails, one more beautiful than the other, with a total length of 11 km. The first path leads to the Font de l'Obi, a natural spring whose water drains through a canal to cattle through (obi).
In the so-called Bosc Gran (Great Forest), you will find such a magnificent landscape that even the Archduke Ludwig Salvator of Austria-Tuscany fell in love with it. The hiking trail de l'Aljub dels Cristians, surrounded by magnificent oak trees and centuries-old olive trees, leads up to a peculiar stone building, an old water storage tank.
The path to the Casas de Planícia offers a nice panorama view at 420 meters above sea level on the coast of Banyalbufar, Estellencs and Sa Dragonera and the s'Esclop and Galatzó Mountains. To round off the visit, you can eat in one of the many picnic areas with a wonderful view.
