This mountain landscape in the north of Calvià offers you one of the most rewarding experiences in the nature. Come and discover one of the best kept secrets of rural Majorca thanks to its nature, architecture and the legends of Galatzó. The place will fascinate you!

This mountain-possessió (traditional farm) with its 1,401 hectares of land covers the southwest of the Puig de Galatzó summit, with its 1027 meters of altitude in the foothills of the beautiful Sierra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The finca is ideal for an outdoor holiday with the family. It is located in the municipality of Calvià, at km 2.2 of the road from Es Capdellà to Galilea. The finca can be explored on three hiking trails (Sa Vinya, Ses Sínies / S'Esclop and Ses Planes), in addition to the GR-221 long-distance trail connecting  Es Capdellà with the Ruta de Pedra en Sec in the Sierra de Tramuntana.

In all these paths you will find the remains of a place that for centuries has been an important part of traditional agriculture and cattle-raising. A renovated oil mill, charcoal kilns, old lime kilns or the traditional casetas de red (peasant shed) are just some of the memories of the island´s rural heritage.

The main building is equipped with benches for a picnic, public toilets and a small botanical garden and a chapel, all of which are freely accessible. This can also be the ideal place to tell the children some of the legends surrounding Galatzó, such as the story of the Conde Mal - the Evil Count - who is still riding on a green horse on the farm...
