The Ses Salines Natural Park, one of the most important wetlands in the Mediterranean, stretches from the north of Formentera stretches as far south as Ibiza. Posidonia, an aquatic plant native to the Mediterranean and a World Heritage Site, is one of Formentera’s most precious treasures. It grows in extensive underwater meadows that act as the lungs of marine ecosystems.
