Cove Port de sa Pedra de s'Ase

Banyalbufar has a rugged section of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, with some beaches of sublime beauty, such as the small Port de sa Pedra de s'Ase, whose name is given by the large rock that dominates this section of the coast. Seen from the sea, the rock has two ridges, which look like donkey ears.

The 10 meter long beach is located between the rock formation Escull d'en Romaní and the Cova of the Carbó cave, at the foot of Es Verger or Torre de ses Ànimes. The tower is surrounded by ghost stories and legends and is a true emblem of this coastal section and a viewpoint with wonderful views of the terraced Malvasía grapes overlooking the sea. A path starting next to the tower ends in the tiny fishing port of Sa Pedra de s'Ase, where you will see small boats and ramps.

For this approx. 3 kilometer-long hike you need suitable footwear and something for drinking and eating, because the beach does not provide services.
