Municipality of Mallorca
Campos is the rural and natural splendour of the south of Mallorca, a perfect place to enjoy nature and visit some of the most beautiful beaches in the south of the island, such as the idyllic beach of Es Trenc, which has high environmental value. Indeed, the area is being considered for protection as a natural park.
The Es Trenc-Salobrar de Campos maritime-terrestrial natural park is also located here, with large meadows of posidonia (sea grass), dune systems and wetlands. A large number of birds visit and live in this area, making it a popular area for birdwatchers.
It is also home to the only natural thermal spa in the Balearic Islands: the Balneario de Sant Joan de la Font Santa. It has a type of water with a unique mineral composition, that was declared of public utility in 1869 as being very useful for relieving ailments impeding movement and skin problems.
