Estellencs (Mallorca)

Estellencs is an ideal refuge for getting away from the hustle and bustle of the world and reconnecting with nature. It is located on the seaward side of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, between the villages of Andratx and Banyalbufar. In fact, getting there is quite a spectacle. You have to take a road with pronounced curves, but one that offers one of the most beautiful landscapes to be seen in Mallorca, between the mountains and the sea.

The natural charm of Estellencs is seductive at first sight, as it combines the beauty of the human constructions with that of its impressive natural surroundings. The narrow, winding, cobbled streets, the village houses with their stone façades, its beautiful church, the old wash houses and the possessions or agricultural estates, some of which are still active, make a visit to Estellencs a unique experience for discovering the essence of rural and mountain Mallorca.

It also has a spectacular natural heritage and many options for hiking. It is part of the Ruta de la Pedra en Sec (GR-221) and the Camino Real runs through here. For this reason, it is the starting point for many hiking and cycling routes, some of which are highly recommended, such as the one that goes to Puig de Galatzó. It is also a good option to go down to Cala Estellencs, a small stony cove with some escars, or dry docks, where the fishing boats take refuge after a day's fishing.
