Palma de Mallorca (Mallorca)

Palma is the capital of Mallorca, the cultural and economic engine of the island. It is inhabited by more than 400,000 people (almost half of the inhabitants of Mallorca) and is located on the shores of the bay of the same name, on the west coast of the island.

Palma is plenitude, Mediterranean charm, a melting pot of cultures, the city of a thousand and one possibilities. Historically known for its sun and beach, today it offers an enormous range of cultural, sporting, artistic, gastronomic and leisure experiences to please all types of travellers at any time of the year.

Even so, there are several must-sees for getting to know the first essence of Palma before returning and delving deeper into it. It is also perfect for exploring on foot or by bicycle. You should not miss the Cathedral, the Almudaina Royal Palace, the Lonja fish market, the Es Baluard Museum of Contemporary Art, the Bellver Castle, strolling through the Jewish Quarter, the Plaza Mayor central square, having a drink in the old quarter, eating tapas in the Mercat de l'Olivar market and gazing at the Mediterranean Sea from the old city wall.
