Located between the sea and the Serra de Tramuntana, Pollentia was the ancient capital of the Balearic Islands during the Roman period. That is why today it is a pleasure to stroll along its cobbled streets, visit its historical monuments, climb the church of El Calvari to admire its incredible views and stroll around the market in the main square, the Plaza Mayor.

In addition to the Vila de Pollença, the municipality is also home to the small villages of Port de Pollença, Cala Sant Vicenç and Formentor. The first of these is ideal for water sports and enjoying the Mediterranean lifestyle. The beauty of Cala Sant Vicenç has seduced a good number of artists, who have found a source of inspiration in its spectacular landscape and natural surroundings.

And the icing on the cake, the Formentor peninsula, where the tail of the Serra de Tramuntana plunges back into the sea. The Formentor lighthouse stands on a cliff over 200 metres high and offers fantastic views of the Mediterranean Sea, which seems to merge with the sky.
