Menorca from June to August
The Islands from June to August
Menorca in summer is an unspoilt Mediterranean paradise. Its more than 200 kilometres of coastline and 119 beaches and coves, most of them unspoilt, shine with their own light. It is an ideal time for water sports, from kayaking to sailing and scuba diving. Summer in Menorca is also synonymous with patron saint festivals, festivals that are much loved and eagerly awaited by the Menorcans. They begin in June with the Sant Joan festivities in Ciutadella and end with the Sant Nicolau festivities in Es Mercadal in September. The key figure in all of these festivities is the Menorcan horse. In addition, during the summer months the island is bursting with cultural events and open-air concerts, craft markets and incredible sunsets by the sea.
