An old cobbled path leads you into a landscape with centuries-old olive trees
One of the most impressive landscapes of the Serra de Tramuntana is the Barranco de Biniaraix Gorge, in Sóller, accessible on an old cobblestone road linking the Sóller valley and Fornalutx with L'Ofre, Cúber, Orient or the monastery of Lluc.
On the slopes you will discover century-old olive trees, which coexist with carob and almond trees and orchards. A wonderful example of how the actions of men can also harmonize with nature, with stone walls, canals and terraces built without mortar (piedra en seco technique).
The ravine is part of the Serra de Tramuntana, UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in the Cultural Landscape category, which was declared a Bien de Interés Cultural (BIC) in 1994.
