Explore the artistic legacy of German painter Eduard Micus
An avant-garde space for abstraction.
The Espacio Micus was built between 1995 and 2000, and consists of an art centre designed to provide an insight into the creative universe of this German artist. It was designed by the artist himself, and is fully integrated into its surroundings and surrounded by nature.
Eduard Micus lived in Ibiza from 1972 until his death in 2000. In 1989 he founded the Espacio Micus, an art centre where local, national and international artists can exhibit their work and delight visitors with samples of exquisite and contemporary culture.
Exploring his work in his own space gives visitors a comprehensive understanding of his artistic vision, as well as his love for Ibiza and the light of the Mediterranean. For this reason, the Espacio Micus is fully integrated into the Ibizan environment and its works are surrounded by whitewashed, natural rugged walls, bathed in natural light that enters freely from all sides, maintaining a conversation that continues despite the passing of hours, seasons and years.
Only open on Sundays. Different exhibitions are organised throughout the year and various cultural events are held here.
