Inaugurated in 1994, the Marta Torres Gallery hosts exhibitions of emerging artists every year, together with other artists of national and international prestige such as Carlos Sansegundo, María Ríos-Coello and Willie Márquez. Artists such as Joan Miró, Manuel Viola, Elmyr de Hory and Miguel Barceló form part of its permanent collection.

The gallery also features works by its founder, Marta Torres, an Ibizan painter who has been exhibiting her works in her own arts space since 1994. She has been painting professionally for more than 20 years.

Before beginning her degree in Fine Arts she liked to paint figures and the sea, but she then slowly discovered sculpture, and began to experiment by combining this discipline with painting. From this union between sculpture and painting came her "material paintings", as she calls them, which have given her a unique and unmistakable style.

Currently, the main theme of her works revolves around the walls, doors and windows of the country houses in Ibiza and Dalt Vila, although she is also interested in representing different places around the world. Her creations take on a special beauty through their representation of the natural elements abundant on the island, such as almond trees, bougainvillea, the red soil and the Mediterranean Sea.
