Beach S'Arenal Gros

The Punta Galera and de sa Torre are the sides of the entrance to Cala Portinatx, in the interior if which there are several small coves, and we are now describing the second one, which is also the biggest one of all its coastal corners. The external area of Cala Portinatx is an excellent place for sailing sports. 

This cove is surrounded by touristy buildings and it is a large bay, the surface is covered with fine-grained white sand, with some pine trees, the slope is gentle (at 25 metres from the coast there is a depth of one metre), the ground is sandy except on the left side where there are rocks and the wind blows normally gently from the south, toward the sea. These morphological characteristics make this coastal stretch very safe for children and elderly people, as well as for surface diving. 

The accessibility by car is easy following the signs and the deviations. The private car can be left on a free parking area in the surroundings. You can also reach this beach with the public transport. The nearest bus stop is located at one hectometre. From s'Arenal Gros you can go by boat toward Cala Xarraca and Cala Xucla.
