Events Fiestas de Santa Eulària en Ibiza

In winter, Santa Eulària has a special light. Its green and blue landscapes, its white Mediterranean architecture and its relaxed atmosphere invite you to reconnect with the leisurely pace of the Balearic Islands in the quieter months. For this reason, and because of its mild temperatures, it is a perfect destination for a getaway during the winter calm: precisely when the festivity of Santa Eulària fills this small island town with life and colour. It is the ideal time to discover the true essence of Ibiza.

Throughout the month of February and early March, this town offers a wide variety of cultural and leisure activities for the whole family. Music is undoubtedly the star of these festivities. There are concerts for all tastes and ages. But there are also activities and competitions, fishing championships, the traditional fair of the gerret, a fish that is highly prized in Ibiza; the well-known Festival of Humour, art exhibitions, sailing championships and street shows. Children will enjoy activities specially designed for them, such as storytelling, literary role-playing, children's theatre and traditional games.

The main day is 12 February, the day of the patron saint. Punctually, at 9 o'clock in the morning, the ringing of the bells of Puig de Missa announces the beginning of the festivity. At 11 o'clock, a mass is celebrated in honour of the patron saint followed by a procession and ball pagès performed by folk groups from Ibiza and guests from other islands. It is a time of devotion and celebration that unites residents and visitors around their cultural roots. At midday, the traditional dances return in Plaça d'Espanya. At sunset, the day ends with a concert by local groups in the same square.

But the magic of Santa Eulària is not limited to February. On the occasion of the patron saint festivities on the first Sunday in May, a variety of cultural events are held over several weeks. These include exhibitions, performing arts shows, open-air concerts and exhibitions of ball pagès. Visit the municipality's schedule to keep up to date with all the activities!
