Learn about the potential of sustainable tourism at the Hospitality Inspirational Council

The Hospitality Inspiration Council (HIC) is an inspirational forum that promotes international cooperation between the public and private sectors to share and promote the Sustainable Development Goals in the tourism sector.

The HIC is a place where tourist destinations, professionals and companies within the sector, clients and consumer associations that share the same vision of environmental sustainability and seek to promote the foundations of sustainable tourism can come together. The main focus of this event will be to improve quality of life for people, residents, visitors and their environment.

In 2015, the UN General Assembly adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, an action plan for people, the planet and prosperity which also aims to strengthen universal peace and access to justice. This new strategy will guide global development agendas until 2030.
