Hierbas Ibicencas is an aniseed spirit with the extract of different plants. It is drunk pure or with ice, usually after meals as a digestive.

Towards the end of the 19th century, the first spirits industry of the Pitiusas Islands was established on Formentera, a small factory that later moved to Ibiza and still exists today.

Hierbas Ibicencas is a liqueur made from the extracts of different plants. It can contain up to 20 herbs: fennel, thyme, juniper, sage, rosemary, curd, rhombus, lavender, eucalyptus, oregano, mint, lime, lemon peel, lemon peel, orange peel, coffee, chamomile, cinnamon, aniseed… The good climate of the islands favors the cultivation of these herbs rich in minerals. The production makes it possible to adapt the taste to the manufacturer's preference. The goal is to create a well-balanced sum of the numerous ingredients.

The preparation is carried out in three steps: the distillation to extract the properties of the plants, the infusion of the herbs and the effleurage in the alcohol. An effleurage of at least three months is recommended, but the longer this takes, the better the result. The Hierbas Ibicencas can be sweet or dry.

The liqueur can be drunk pure or with ice, as a digestive after a good meal. You will find this product in all the bars, cafeterias and shops of the island.

Enjoy it in without excesses. It tastes very good; but do not forget: it contains alcohol.
