Embark on a journey through contemporary art, sculpture and pop art in this gallery in Port d'Andratx
Located in the heart of Port d'Andratx just a few steps from the sea, the HMH Art Gallery offers visitors a journey through contemporary art, particularly pop art.
The open-plan expansive space has a permanent exhibition of 250 works which is periodically renewed, in which works by established artists such as Michael Dyne Mieth, Petra Rös-Nickel and James Chiew coexist with those by other emerging creators.
The gallery was founded in 1998, currently exhibits works by 60 different artists and has a collection of over a thousand paintings and sculptures to choose from. Not many, then! Pop art and abstract art are particularly well represented, although visitors can also admire (and purchase, if they wish) collages, representational paintings, conceptual art, digital art or silkscreen prints in oil, acrylic or lacquer.
The gallery's sculpture collection is also extraordinarily extensive, and includes pieces made of natural materials such as stainless steel, marble or ebony, as well as plastic or fibreglass, suitable for patios and gardens.
Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 10.00 am to 6.00 pm. On Saturdays it closes a little earlier, at 4.00 pm. Closed on Sundays.
