Art gallery Xavier Fiol

The Galería Xavier Fiol opened its doors in 1989, residing in a Majorcan palace in the heart of Palma de Mallorca. Since then, it has focused its activity on promoting contemporary art, especially new trends.

Its founder, Xavier Fiol, has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Artissima Fair in Turin and of the ARCO organising committee in Madrid. He is also a founding member of the Independent Association of Art Galleries of the Balearic Islands (AIGAB) and of ART Palma, serving as president of both associations.

Since 1990, the gallery has been consolidating a programme that features both established artists and young talents and regularly attends international art fairs such as Artissima in Turin, ARCO, Art Miami, SP Arte Sao Paulo and Art Lima, among others.

In 2004 it opened a new space where, in addition to contemporary art exhibitions, cultural events such as concerts and conferences are also held.

In 2014 it opened a space for the development of experimental art projects in the town of Alaró at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, and in January 2016 it introduced Madrid XF Proyectos, a small space designed to exhibit works by established and emerging young artists in Madrid.

Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 11.00 am to 1.30 pm and 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm. On Saturdays it is open only by appointment.
