Beach Arenal De Sa Canova

Sa Canova or Areny de sa Canova is an unspoiled beach of great beauty and fine sand. It is located between the Punta de sa Barraca and the Torrente de Na Borges.

In the back part of the beach, you can admire an imposing dune system, where pine, thistles and sea lilies are growing. Together with the creek, a wetland area and numerous archaeological discoveries, this is a natural area of particular interest. At the mouth of the stream is the Estany del Bisbe, which is home to many mammals and birds characteristic of Mallorca. If you are a lover of pure nature, this beach is your destination! It is an ideal place to practice sports such as hiking, windsurfing, paddle surfing or diving.

The length of the beach, where you can bathe naked, invites you to long walks by the sea to breathe the aroma of the salt, hear the sound of the waves and feel the breeze of the sea. On some sections you will find Rock Island and with a little luck, a fish eagle on food search.

To reach the beach from Artà (16 km) or Santa Margalida (24 km), follow the road signs towards Colònia de Sant Pere; there you will find signs to S'Estanyol, where you can park your car. The last 300 meters to the beach must be made on foot.
