Beach Buganvilla

The locals call the Buguenvíl·lia (Bougainvillie) beach Caló dels Malls or Caló dels Mais, located in Cas Català, a quiet tourist center and residential district in Calviá.

On this beach, which offers all kinds of services in the summer, you will find two different bathing areas: in the west, a bank and seabed of fine, golden yellow sand, to the east, a more rocky section with fine gravel and remains of the Posidonia plant, which is responsible for the transparency of the waters of the Mediterranean. On the beach, you will be tempted by an aperitif, a refreshment drink or a meal in the shade while admiring the endless turquoise tones on this coastal section.

From the shore, 100 meters long and 20 meters wide, you can admire the sailing yachts under the command of the students of the famous Escuela Nacional de Vela Calanova sailing school; it is the future captains who learn how to make the best of the winds and the waves.

To reach the beach from Palma (8.5 km) or Calvià (12.2 km), follow the indications to Cas Català, where you can park your car. You can easily reach the beach by public transport.
