A beach of stones, ideal for water sports
Can Cullerassa is a quiet beach of stones, almost 1500 meters long and 7 meters wide, whose shore is often covered with a layer of Posidonia; this is the sea plant which blooms, bears fruit and forms vast sea grass meadows, and is largely responsible for the transparency of the Mediterranean.
Since the beach is exposed to the east wind, it is eagerly visited by windsurfers and sailors - and also by fishermen with their fishing rods; they all raised this coastal section to their meeting place. The beach offers no services; so it is advisable that you take something to drink and to drink with you; bath shoes are also recommended. The beach looks out over the pretty bay of Pollença, and its rear part is protected by ancient pine trees, which give a soothing shade in the summer.
To reach the beach from Pollença (6.8 km) or Alcúdia (5.3 km), follow the road signs to the port of Pollença. There you will find signs for the beach. You must park your car beside the country road. You can also easily reach the beach by public transport.
