Beach El Toro

It is a beach which is visited by residents of the residential community, especially families with children who appreciate the clean, shallow water and the services of the beach - lifeguard included - on the beach and in the surroundings. The name of the beach comes from the neighboring Illot del Toroisland; it was used by the Moors to gain access to the Bay of the Medina Mayurqa; Do not forget that the Muslims occupied the island until the first third of the 13th century. 

Today the rocky island is part of the Reserva Marina del Toro, which is visited by divers from all over the world. The reserve has extraordinary seabeds covered with Posidonia and a rich marine life. Do not forget your diving glasses! The sandy beach - 250 meters long and 10 meters wide - is bordered by rocky cliffs, on which residential buildings and tourist facilities stand. The back part of the beach is protected by vertical reddish walls, rich in iron oxide. 

To get to the beach from Calvià (11.8 km) or Andratx (16.3 km), follow the road signs to Urbanización El Toro; you can leave your car in the streets of the settlement. You can easily reach the beach by public transport.
