Beach Es Caragol

If you love pure and untouched places, you cannot miss this fantastic sandy beach!

It is the southernmost beach of Mallorca, which can be reached only by boat or a hike of 1.6 km along the coast from the lonely Ses Salines lighthouse. So do not forget the right footwear, drinking water ... and your diving glasses! Caragol is part of the Migjorn de Mallorca marine reserve - stretching between Cala Figuera in Santanyí and the Cap Blanc - and its sea bottom swells of life. On the beach the strip of fine sand extends 1 kilometer inland, forming a valuable dune system. From the shore you can see, towards the west, the small Can Curt rock island near the coast, and towards the east, Sa Punta Negra, with a small jetty. The flat coastal section penetrates into the sea up to 200 meters. On the bank you can see a few bunkers from the Spanish Civil War, and on the horizon, the exceptionally beautiful sight of the Cabrera archipelago.

From Ses Salines to Es Caragol (7 km) you have to follow the signs to the lighthouse which shows the sailors the way to the south. You can leave your car
