An unspoiled beach, which is part of the Migjorn de Mallorca marine reserve
In the south of Mallorca you will find one of the longest unspoiled coastal sections of the island, of which the pretty virgin Es Carbó beach is part.
It is a 1.4 km long beach of very fine sand. Often parts of the beach are covered by Posidonia leaves. On the dunes grow white lilies, sequoia, pines, juniper and wild olive trees. That is why the dunes are frequented by many birds resting in the nearby salt mines. On the shallow section of the coast there are several rocky islands, such as Na Moltona, Na Guardis and Na Pelada, with wonderful views of the Cabrera archipelago, a land and sea national park. It is the unspoiled beach most frequented by the tourists of the Colònia de Sant Jordi and can only be reached on foot or by boat. Therefore, the beach has few visitors and has a quiet atmosphere. You must bring your own drinking water, shoes and your diving glasses, because the beach is part of the Migjorn de Mallorca marine reserve.
To get to Es Carbó Beach you have to walk 1 Km from Colònia de Sant Jordi; You can also walk from the Ses Salines lighthouse. This is an unforgettable trip of 6 km along the coast.
