Beach Es Comú

Just 1 km from Can Picafort, opposite the wide bay of Alcúdia, you will find Es Comú, the beautiful beach that lies between Es Capellans and the Playa de Muro tourist center.

You will see a kilometer-long sandy beach - one of the most unspoiled - with fine, opal glass-like sand. In the background are juniper forests, something extraordinary for the Balearic Islands, and pine trees, which fix the dunes, which are hundreds of meters inland. The transparent and calm waters make Es Comú a recommended place to spend a beach day with the family It is a protected area bordering the S'Albufera Natural Park, which is an important wetland area, which can be visited on signposted trails. In it you can observe the birds, which stop here, nourish or reproduce in the canals and lagoons.

You can reach Es Comú from Santa Margalida (9 km) or Muro (11.8 km), and walk about 400 meters along paths and wooden bridges - which protect the dunes - to get to the beach.
