A quiet corner with sand and rocks next to the S'Estanyol de Migjorn
Between the Club Náutico Estanyol and the Racó de s'Estalella you will find this quiet sandy beach of 120 meters in length, with a wide rocky section, for bathing shoes are recommended -an ideal place to spend a few hours by the sea in a quite isolated place without services.
This section of the coast is sheltered by the Punta Plana, and from the shore you can see the Islote de S'Estanyol and the coming and going of the small sports boats in the sports harbor. The beach is visited by the inhabitants of the urbanization Urbanización de S'Estanyol, and has a family and relaxed character. In the residential area itself you will find restaurants and cafeterias. This coastal section is often covered by a dense blanket of sea grass remnants. This is Posidonia. One of the many advantages of this sea plant is that it protects the beaches from erosion by waves. On the coast you can see some bunkers from the Spanish Civil War, and on the right, the pretty Finca S'Estalella, a former fishermen settlement inhabited until the beginning of the 20th century, and some buildings and sheds.
To reach Es Racó de s'Arena from Llucmajor (16 Km) or Sa Ràpita (2.3 Km), follow the road signs to S'Estanyol. You can park near the village and reach the beach on foot. You can also take the bus.
