Beach Magaluf

Magaluf is the long beach of fine, white sand, with which the tourist center in Calvià looks onto the sea.

The sandy beach is 1,600 meters long and about 60 meters wide and outside the high season, it becomes a perfect place to take long walks or sports near the sea. In the summer the beach is equally lively during the day and at night. On the beach you will find numerous tourist facilities and restaurants with a rich gastronomic offer. On the beach there are services such as life guards, walkways for disabled guests, showers, hammocks and sun loungers and several beach bars. It is an ideal place to practice water sports such as sailing, kayaking, paddle surf, parasailing or ride surf, among others.

The beach is located between Cala Vinyes and the Punta de sa Torrenova or Sa Porrassa, the refuge of the fleet of King Jaume I before he moved to Santa Ponça in 1229 to snatch the Arabs from Mallorca. Where today the beach is, there used to be a swamp area used by smugglers to hide their goods.

To reach Magaluf from Calvià (8.9 km) or Palma (16.6 km), you have to follow the road signs. Your car can be parked near the beach. You can easily reach the beach by public transport.
