‘Ciutat de Palma’ Architecture-Restoration Award
This patio was built in the late 19th century over the former medieval patio and has undergone recent renovation.
The highlight here is the gothic staircase which imitates the old medieval staircases of the city. During the 14th century, the house belonged to the Oleza family. Mr. Bonaventura Serra y Ferragut, the city chronicler, owned he house in the 18th century (1728-1784). Finally, the Serra family were joined to the Espanya family, and they undertook the renovation of the building. During the 20th century, the house was converted into a guesthouse. In 2003, it received the City of Palma’s Architecture-Restoration Award.
