Sunrise at the sea
This small bay, located in the south of the village of Canyamel and its beach, enjoys a truly privileged situation and natural environment.
It is one of the most eastern places in Mallorca; therefore the sunrises at the sea are of great beauty. Both the pine trees surrounding the beach and its fresh water make this place a very picturesque place. In the north we find Na Gratellosa and in the south Cala Vermella, two small bays on this coastal section, which is particularly suitable for activities such as diving and cave diving due to its extraordinary characteristics. Although the beach itself with the estuary of the Torrente de Canyamel has no major differences in altitude, the coast is rugged with small cliffs. Among them there are two tunnels or caves, such as the Punta des Pi with a depth of 7 meters, or the Cova des Congre, at the Cap des Pinar, with a depth of 20 meters.
In the vicinity of this small bay, there are many places of interest such as the visit of the Canyamel area, with its famous tower from the 13th century, where you can admire half-baked windows, battlements and shooting ranges. There is a hotel and a restaurant, and numerous events are celebrated; if you book in time, you can visit exhibitions, concerts and other events.
To get to the Cala Auberdans you have to reach from Artá or Capdepera from Canyamel. Once you are in Canyamel, take Via de les Coves, which continues after a roundabout as Via de les Cales. Follow this road to the sea. You can leave your car on this road to get to the bay from there.
