A group of beautiful bays
Cales de Betlem is much more than a bay; it is a group of small bays of sand, stone and rocks, which for many the idyllic area of the island Both the landscape as well as the area of these small bays, some of which are just a few meters long, invite you to rest and relax and are relatively lonely since little known.
The Betlem Chapel, built in the 19th century at 322 meters above sea level by the Order of the San Pablo y San Antonio Hermits gives the beach and its coves its name and is an almost obligatory excursion for all who want to enjoy the area. Please take appropriate footwear and avoid the central hours of the day. The trail, which is about 2 hours long, is well signposted and worth the effort. The two Vellmarins Alts and Baixos Grottoes are two very interesting underwater caves, which get their name from the monks (Vellmarí) that populated this area.
To reach this area you have to drive to Betlem and leave your car in the settlement with the low houses. From there, a comfortable and easy walk will take you to the coves for a few minutes. You just have to choose the bay you like the most and begin to enjoy your unforgettable bath.
