Cove Caló dels Ermitans

This small beach of sand and stones, 20 meters long and 15 meters wide, is known as the S'Arenalet de Son Colom or Caleta dels Ermitans.

It is located in the great bay of Alcúdia, between the Caló des Corb Marí Beach and the Punta de Cas Taverner, at the foot of the Betlem Chapel and Puig de sa Murta (214 meters). It is an area of outstanding natural value, such as the Natural Landscape of Special Interest Montañas de Artà, on a coastline shaped by the wind and the sea, with charming little coves like these. Its name recalls that the area was visited by the hermits (ermitaños) of the Betlem Chapel. The beach does not provide services; so do not forget to take some food and beverages, nor your diving glasses, because under the rocky sides of the beach you will discover a wonderful underwater life.

To reach the beach from Capdepera (22.5 km) or Artà (15.7 km), follow the road signs to the Urbanización Colònia de Sant Pere and from there to the Betlem Chapel. Here you will find the fork to Caló dels Ermitans where you can park your car. Visit the Betlem Chapel to admire the witness of a self-sufficient religious community in an idyllic landscape between the mountains and the sea.
