Cove Caló d'es Grells

The quality of its water varies with the currents and the season, but in most cases the visitor can enjoy a bath in completely crystal clear water. The beach is located at the Dique del Oeste, between the Puntas Grells and the Cova di Colom, opposite Porto Pi in a military area. In the area, we find the San Carlos Castle, a 17th century fortress where a military museum has been set up and the visitor has the opportunity to visit the bay of Palma to Cabo Blanco on one side and the Marivent Palace and Illetes on the Other side. Many of the inhabitants of Mallorca use this beach to take a short walk or bike ride and relax in the winter as well as in the summer. 

The access is easy, because it is very well signposted. The beach is 2 km away from the center of Palma de Mallorca and you can reach the beach by foot, by bike, by bus or by private car. You can leave your car in the designated parking lot. You do not need special shoes for this walk.
