A lonely beach with a sporty ambience
You will find this beach of 2.4 km length and 30 meters width, close to the road which connects Alcúdia to the port of Pollença.
It is popular with anglers and water sportsmen who go windsurfing or paddle surfing or sailing; they all find little deep water here. The shore of grayishsand is often covered with remnants of Posidonia - the marine plant covering the sea bottom of the Mediterranean and largely responsible for the transparency of the water. If you love water sports, this beach is your destination, especially if the Tramuntana or the Gregal wind blows and many water sportsmen are on the beach. In the back of the beach, on the other side of the road, you will find the s'Albufereta de Pollença Nature Reserve, a wetland area of 150 hectares where many migratory birds are resting on their intercontinental flights; you can visit the wetlands on foot or by bicycle.
To get to the beach from Alcúdia, you have to take the road signs to Port de Pollença on the PM-222 and your car next to the road. You can also reach the beach by public transport.
