Cove Estellencs

The picturesque village of Estellencs, between Valldemossa and Andratx, has a wild bay, which is used both as a fishing port and as a bathing beach.

Cala Estellencs is situated under fairly weathered cliffs, which are held together by a wire net. This beach of pebbles and large rocks has preserved the charm of the Serra de Tramuntana under the looks of the 1,027 meter high Puig Galatzó. The waterfall of the canyon, which flows onto this beach, gives it extra beauty in years with lots of rain and allows you to wash the salt water with this natural and refreshing shower. The beach, which is very interesting for divers, is not the only attraction of this privileged enclave.

We recommend a visit to the little village and its surroundings, with its steep alleys and the terraces on which the Malvasía vines stand. This grape variant has been revived and allows the production of a white, sweet, highly esteemed wine. Anchoring in this bay takes some caution, as in a large part of the north coast, for it is exposed to the north and west winds, and has little depth. Therefore, anchoring is advisable only for small boats.

To get to Estellencs you have to go from Valldemossa or Andratx along the main road along the north coast of Majorca. There is a public bus line. At the end, the access is easy to find thanks to the signs over a ramp of cement and steps. Have fun visiting the beach!
