Cove Mendia

On the east coast of Mallorca ends a wide and deep sea in two beautiful sandy beaches: Cala Anguila, in the north, and Cala Mendia.

This is a beach of fine, white sand bordered by cliffs. The beach is about 60 meters long and more than 100 meters wide, and is protected in summer by rescue floats. It is a wonderful place to spend a beach day with the children, because it has a sandy bottom, crystal clear water and few waves, and nearby, many tourist facilities, restaurants with a rich gastronomic offer. Cala Mendia is separated from Cala Anguila by a rocky promontory; you can cross this rock face on foot, with suitable footwear, over a coastal path of about 250 meters in length.

To reach the beach from Manacor (15.9 km) or Portocristo (6.3 km), follow the road signs and follow the fork. The beach has a free car park. In the surroundings of Portocristo, you can explore many interesting excursions, such as the Coves del Drach or Els Hams caves, or the rural village of Son Macià.
