Cove Portals Vells I

It is easily accessible and is located just 9 km from Magaluf, one of the most important tourist centers of the municipality of Calviá. Portals Vells consists of several arms, in the fas sea eindringy. They are known as sa Platgeta, Platja del Mago and Platja del Rei, all wonderful and with turquoise blue water. Protected by a deep pine forest, Portals Vells, along with the Illot del Toro and the Illes Malgrat Islands, is a an area of special interest declared by the Balearic Parliament. 

It is a perfect beach for diving and anchoring boats, and is close to the Club Náutico Portals Vells, where you can take a relaxing stroll if you love boats. Do not forget to visit the Mare de Déu cave. From the 14th and 15th centuries, the sandstone blocks that gave the Cathedral of Palma and the Santa Eulália Church were broken here. Strange, is not it?
