Cove Sa Nau

Cala sa Nau is a 350 meter deep bay on the coast of Felanitx, between the natural ports of Portopetro and Portocolom.

It is a very recommendable place, with a bank of 60 meters long and 70 meters wide, which is completely surrounded by forests and therefore offers shade in summer. It is an almost untouched place where you can enjoy services such as showers and rescue floats; there is a beach bar nearby. From the shore with fine sand you can see the low cliffs of sandstone that surround the beach. They are covered with pines, junipers and bushes. The transparent, turquoise waters with sand, rocks and Posidonia are a wonderful enclave for snorkeling. The beach has a buoyed area to practice water sports such as paddle surfing or kayaking; in this way you can travel this twisted coastal section.

To reach the beach from Felanitx (18.3 km), follow the road signs to the village of S'Horta; there you will find the junction to Cala sa Nau. The beach has a car park 500 meters from the beach, which can be reached via a stone staircase. If you feel like a hike, you can reach the Cala Mitjana Beach (5.3 km), which is further south, on foot - with suitable footwear. You can also reach Cala sa Nau by foot from Portocolom; This is a walk of 4.7 kilometers along the coast on the Camí de sa Ronda.
