Cove S'Almunia

The beautiful Cala s'Almunia, one of the most valuable beaches on the coast of Santanyí, is located between the secluded Cala Màrmols beach and the small Caló des Moro.

The beach is about 30 meters long and 10 meters wide, and is almost completely occupied with the fish sheds with ramps. On these ramps the fishermen pull their boats into the water, and the bathers spread their bath towels on them. The beach does not provide services; so you need to bring something to drink and to eat. You will also need bathing shoes to overcome the rocks on the shore, which are often slippery because of the green algae. And do not forget your diving glasses, because the rocky seabed with Posidonia is ideal for snorkeling.

To reach the beach from Santanyí (5.2 km), follow the road signs to Cala Llombards where you have to park your car. In the summer there is a bus service connecting Santanyí with Cala s'Almunia and the nearby Es Caló des Moro beach. Access to the beach is via a steep staircase, which is not suitable for disabled guests. From the stairs you can enjoy unforgettable panoramic views.
