Cove Tuent

Escorca is the town of Majorca with the fewest inhabitants. It is located in the Serra de Tramuntana Mountains, where you will find some of the most amazing landscapes on the island, such as Cala Tuent.

It is a sandy and pebble beach between the Punta de Sa Corda and the Morro des Forat, at the foot of the Puig Major, 1,445 meters high and the highest mountain on the Balearic Islands. The beach is at the end of a deep depression and is surrounded by deep pine forests and interspersed between cliffs. On the shores, a sandy section goes into gravel and pebbles which is why bathing shoes are recommended. And do not forget your diving glasses to enjoy the seabed of sand, rocks and Posidonia. The beach has no services; you must therefore take your drinking water and something to eat. But on the left you can see a staircase leading to the only restaurant in the area.

To reach the beach from the Santuario de Lluc (27,2 km) or Sóller (36,9 km), follow the road signs. From the turn-off to Cala Tuent you must drive with caution, because the road is steep and steep. You can park very close to the beach. You can reach the beach also with an excursion from Sa Costera (with duration of about 5 hours). The trail connects Mirador de Ses Barques, in Port de Sóller, with this beach. In the summer, there are boats with departure in Port de Sóller and travelling to Cala Tuent.
