An exhibition hall in a 17th-century mansion
Located in a remodelled 17th century mansion, the Sa Nostra Cultural Centre was inaugurated in 1989 to provide a space to promote culture and the arts.
It began as a multidisciplinary centre noted for carrying out activities of a social, cultural and educational nature. In 2012, when the Obra Social i Cultural Sa Nostra disappeared and the Sa Nostra Savings Bank became BMN, the cultural central stopped its activities. Since then, only very occasional events are held there and always in collaboration with other entities.
Situated in the historical centre of Palma, its remodelling is that of a 17th-century mansion with substantial refurbishment in the 19th century. The final result transformed the building into a modern, functional space that is also respectful with the historical background of the architectural ensemble. The building conserves the original structure of the façade with modernist details and the entrance courtyard, characteristic of urban mansions.
The building has an auditorium, a press room, two meeting rooms, two exhibition rooms, a multi-purpose room and a cafeteria on the ground floor. It also has a garden.
