The old water system
The water tank known as the Font del Sepulcre (Sepulcre fountain) formed part of the water system in the Islamic era.
This network took drinking water from the Sitjar water cistern to the lower part of the city. It is still in its original site, properly restored, at the convergence of the streets called Concepció and Aigua. Actually it is not a real fountain as the name suggests, but a water tank or cistern that had the same function during the Gothic period, like the rest of the drinking water distribution network.
