An opportunity to get to know this unique are of the residence of the Spanish kings
More than 9,000 square kilometers, where you can walk between 40 different plants species. It will be hard for you not to shoot a "royal" Selfie.
The garden extends over 9.155 square meters, which are a pretty example of a Mediterranean garden. It contains a total of 40 different plant species, most of them autochthonous (pines, fig trees, carob trees ...), but also some foreign, such as bamboo or Japanese cheesewood
In the garden there are various walks which you can visit without limit during the opening hours. The entrance is at the main entrance of the palace. From here it is 75 meters to the open part of the garden.
The Marivent Palace stands on the beautiful cliffs of Cala Mayor, outside of Palma. It was built between 1923 and 1925 by the architect Guillem Forteza Pinya at the behest of the Greek patron Juan de Saridakis. In 1973, the palace was transferred to the Spanish King and his successors.
Since then, Marivent Palace has housed the Spanish Kings during many of their summer holidays. But he has also received many other heads of state from all over the world: Prince Charles and Lady Di, Hugo Chávez, Michelle Obama ...
Because of the botanical, historical and symbolic values, the gardens of the Marivent Palace are a pleasant setting for walks to feel like a king or princess for a day and imitate the Spanish kings during their traditional photo session in the summer.
