Golf course Golf Santa Ponça I

The first of the two Santa Ponsa golf courses opened in 1977 and is the third oldest club on the island.

The par-72 course measures up at 6,543 metres (7,155 yards) from the back tees and boasts one of the longest par-fives in Europe – the 590m (645 yard) 10th.

Designed by Folco Nardi and Pepe Gancedo, Golf Santa Ponsa I is a long and challenging course with lakes and a great variety of trees.

Wide fairways allow the longer hitters to commit to their tee shots but any golfer’s short game will face a stern examination as well.

Golf Santa Ponsa has also hosted European PGA Tour events on several occasions with legendary Spaniards Seve Ballesteros and Miguel Angel Jimenez among the list of champions to have triumphed at the venue.
