Located in Colònia de Sant Jordi, the Ses Salines Visitor Centre, which opened in 2008, is one of the best options for those who want to learn about the Cabrera archipelago without having to travel there.

It offers an immersive experience lasting approximately 30 minutes, which transports visitors to the depths of the Cabrera archipelago, the only national park in the Balearic Islands, in an itinerary divided into three parts: the sea, land and history of the Mediterranean.

In the first part, visitors enter the marine environment through various aquariums that simulate a dive. They can admire the main animal and plant species that inhabit its waters, lulled by the sound of the sea and changes in the light as they descend deeper.

Once they have completed the marine section, visitors will float to the surface in a lift that starts from inside the aquariums, undoubtedly one of the centre's greatest attractions. Once back on land, the real and imaginary islands will merge with a real panoramic view of Cabrera, which is also visible on the horizon if the weather is good.

Finally, the Ses Salines Visitor Centre provides a journey back in time to learn about the cultures, emblematic characters and legends that have lived around the Mediterranean Sea throughout history.
