THREE KINGS PROCESSION

A very special occasion in Mallorca during Christmas is the Three Kings Procession. It is held every 5 January in the port of Palma de Mallorca, where the Three Kings arrive by boat to begin their journey on a float throughout the city.

Take the opportunity to walk along the promenade, enjoy the views of the bay and go for tapas. Bordering the promenade you will find emblematic attractions such as the Cathedral of Mallorca (La Seu) and the ancient walls surrounding the Es Baluard Museum of Contemporary Art.

THE FESTIVITIES OF SANT ANTONI AND SAN SEBASTIÁN

If you're visiting Mallorca in January, you can't miss the ancient Mallorcan festivals of Sant Antoni and San Sebastián.

On 16 and 17 January the municipalities of Mallorca- mainly Sa Pobla, Manacor, Artà, Pollença, Muro and Palma de Mallorca - are filled with demons (the original symbol of the festival), bonfires, beneïdes (blessings), traditional dances and typical gastronomy products, such as sobrassada

Later, during the week of 20 January, the festivities of San Sebastián, patron saint of Palma, are celebrated and the city hosts cultural and musical activities and many other activities for all ages.
