The history, culture and tradition of Mallorca in a 14th century possessió
The Museum of Decorative Arts of Mallorca hosts a wide collection relating to the traditional culture of Mallorca between the 16th and 21st centuries. It is housed in the Possessió de Son Pax, a traditional country house in Palma.
As you stroll through the eighteen rooms of the Museum of Decorative Arts of Mallorca, you can immerse yourself in the island’s culture, admiring all kinds of artefacts: jewellery, paintings, ceramics, clothing of different social classes, ancient toys, furniture, musical instruments and farming tools.
The museum also hosts two permanent exhibitions by the contemporary artists Guillem Gil and José Luis Mesas.
