Archaeology, coin collecting and ethnology
The museum has 3 rooms and a corridor that is also used as an exhibition space. These rooms used to be seminary classrooms.
A small archaeological museum created in 1965 by Joan Llabrés Ramis, with pieces pertaining to private collections. It has an ethnology section and another on numismatics (coin collecting), all related to Mallorca’s history. A visit to the church of Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles (Our Lady of the Angels), the Porciúncula, is also worthwhile. Built thirty years ago, and better known as the “glass church”, its unique feature is its lack of walls. It was built totally of columns and old-style stained glass windows manufactured in Bilbao.
