Museum Museu Parroquial de Campos

The church of San Julián was built between 1858 and 1873. The building is in a neoclassical style. It conserves the 16th century bell tower and some pre-18th century chapels. The interior is striking for its high vault and the luminosity of the white walls with gold trimmings.

The museum is located in the sacristy of the church and six further halls. It harbours altarpieces from the 15th and 16th centuries, paintings and sculptures from the 15th to 20th centuries, gold work from the 15th century and panels from the 18th century. All of these pieces are related to worship, such as the reclining sculpture of the Mother of God carved by the religious image maker Juan de Salas. It also contains paintings by Murillo, Mòger, Borrás, Nadal, Torres and others, plus it has a collection of antique liturgical books and a variety of objects and vestments used by the clergy. Another noteworthy feature is the museum's library, which has countless volumes of inestimable value.
