Natural Monument Fonts Ufanes

Imagine a landscape you have never seen. A well surges from the ground and flows wildly through the forest and makes its way between trees and rocks. You are in Fonts Ufanes, a spontaneous show that takes place after heavy rainfall.

The Fonts Ufanes are one of the most peculiar natural shows of the islands. It is a hydro-geological phenomenon that is directly related to the rainfall in Campanet on the Finca Gabellí Petit, near the well-known Sant Miquel Chapel.

These sources arise spontaneously and with great force when the groundwater conductor, which collects the rain of this land, overflows. When this happens, the Fonts Ufanes surge and form a show worth seeing. The water springs from the ground to the surface and looks for its way to the Teló River. Then the water flows together with the water of other springs and finally flows into the Sant Miquel River.

In order to get to the springs, you have to follow a very simple path, about 20 minutes long, to be surprised by this natural wonder. The Finca Gabellí Petit can be visited every day of the year from 10:00 to 17:00.

You can also use your visit to get to know Campanet. It is a charming village, famous for its caves. The village celebrates a weekly market on its main square every Tuesday and Saturday morning.
